Our Ward · North Chicago

A campaign shaped by the people who call this place home.

Every block has its own story. Here are a few things that make the Second Ward distinct, and places where neighbors can connect.

A place to gather

Neville Park, at 16th and Glenn.

One neighborhood touchstone is Neville Park, just under two acres at 16th Street and Glenn Drive. Foss Park District lists playground equipment and access to a bike path among its features.

The district also notes a ComEd-assisted pollinator project that created habitat for beneficial insects. It’s a small but special reminder that local places can support both neighbors and nature.

Know your neighborhood

A lakeside city with a story all its own.

North Chicago sits along Lake Michigan and is home to Naval Station Great Lakes, the Navy’s only boot camp, as well as Rosalind Franklin University and the Greenbelt Forest Preserve. These are part of the wider city community that Second Ward residents call home.

The City’s official ward map helps residents confirm district boundaries and explore local places.
